Bills Rising Star Keon Coleman Apologizes After Loss to Falcons: “He Takes Responsibility and Vows to Come Back Stronger to Repay the Faith of the Fans”
Buffalo, New York – October 14, 2025
Following the Buffalo Bills’ 24–14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, young wide receiver Keon Coleman publicly apologized to fans for his underwhelming performance, admitting that he “didn’t do his job” and feels “more disappointed than anyone else.”

The 22-year-old, once seen as Josh Allen’s next great offensive partner, endured a tough night — failing to record a single catch in the first half and finishing the game with only 27 receiving yards. His quiet performance was one of the key factors behind the Bills’ offensive struggles, as several key drives stalled without his usual contribution.
“I feel like I let my team, my coaches, and especially the Bills Mafia down,” Coleman said in his postgame interview. “I didn’t play up to my standards. There were plays I should’ve made — and I didn’t. I take full responsibility for that.”
Coleman, who exploded for 112 yards and a touchdown in Week 1, has struggled to maintain consistency since. He hasn’t surpassed 45 yards in a game since Week 2, and the loss to Atlanta highlighted a growing issue in chemistry between Allen and Coleman, as the Falcons’ secondary successfully limited his routes and space.
“I know the fans are frustrated — and so am I,” Coleman continued. “But the only thing I can promise is that I won’t hide from this. I’ll work harder, focus on the details, and prove that I deserve to wear this jersey.”
Head coach Sean McDermott showed his support for the young receiver, emphasizing Coleman’s accountability:
“He’s a responsible kid. Every great player goes through rough stretches like this. What matters is how they respond — and I have no doubt Keon will come back stronger.”
Despite dropping to 4–2 on the season, the Bills still have plenty of time to regroup. With his humble attitude and willingness to own up to mistakes, Keon Coleman is expected to bounce back in the coming weeks — especially as Buffalo prepares to face the Houston Texans in Week 7.
“This is a lesson for me,” Coleman concluded. “I know I can be better — and I will be. For this team, and for the people who continue to believe in me.”
