Bills Superfan "Hannabill Lecter," Principal of Kenmore West High School: Uses Salary to Gift Tickets and Food to Poor Children – Receives $100,000 Donation from Bills President for Community Project, with a Story That Has the Entire NFL Sharing
Orchard Park, New York – October 2025
Frank Barber — principal of Kenmore West High School in New York — is one of the most extraordinary Buffalo Bills superfans you’ll ever meet. By day, he’s a devoted educator and community leader; by the weekend, he transforms into “Hannabill Lecter”, the masked, blue-and-red-painted face of Bills Mafia at Highmark Stadium.
Barber has been a season ticket holder since 1999, and for more than a decade, his signature Hannibal Lecter-style Bills mask and bold team-colored face paint have become a living symbol of passion, loyalty, and the unshakable spirit of Buffalo football.
🎟️ A Heartfelt Act: Using His Salary to Bring Joy to Children in Need
Recently, Barber touched the hearts of fans across Buffalo when he used part of his own salary to buy tickets and food for underprivileged children in Erie County to attend the Bills vs. Panthers game.
“I’m not doing this for fame,” Barber said in an interview at Highmark Stadium. “I do it because I was once that kid watching the Bills on TV, dreaming of being there. Now, if I can help even one kid feel that same magic — the roar of the crowd, the pride of the city — then that’s something worth every penny.”
Photos of Barber greeting children outside the stadium — pizza boxes in one hand, warm blankets in the other, still dressed as “Hannabill Lecter” — quickly went viral across Bills Mafia social media pages, drawing thousands of reactions and shares.
💰 $100,000 Donation from Bills President Terry Pegula for His Community Project
The story soon reached the top of the organization. Buffalo Bills President Terry Pegula personally donated $100,000 to support Barber’s community initiative, “Bills for Kids”, a program dedicated to giving children better access to education, school supplies, and sports opportunities.
“Frank represents the true heart of Buffalo,” Pegula said. “He doesn’t just cheer from the stands — he gives back, he uplifts, and he reminds us what this community is all about.”
With this donation, Barber plans to expand Bills for Kids throughout the Kenmore-Tonawanda area, including creating a “Bills Learning Zone” inside his school — a space where students can study, play, and learn teamwork through sports and mentorship programs.
❤️ A Fan with a Heart Bigger Than Highmark Stadium
Despite the attention, Barber remains humble.
“I’m no hero,” he said softly. “I can’t fix everything, but I can make this little part of Buffalo brighter — with football, kindness, and maybe one ticket at a time.”
Within Bills Mafia, Barber is now affectionately called “The Heart of Highmark” — a fan who truly lives the motto “One Team, One Family” both on and off the field.
“Every time I put that mask on,” Barber smiled, “I’m not just Hannabill Lecter. I’m every heartbeat in Buffalo — for the team, for the community, and for the kids who still believe that miracles can happen.” 🦬❤️💙
