Buffalo, New York – October 23, 2025
In a gesture that moved the entire NFL community, Dalton Kincaid, the young tight end of the Buffalo Bills, quietly donated $100,000 and a handwritten letter to the family of Kimber Mills — the 18-year-old Alabama girl who gave the gift of life through organ donation after tragically losing hers in a weekend shooting.

Kimber’s story — a tale of courage and selflessness — has touched millions across the country. Among those deeply moved was a rising NFL star in Buffalo who understands what it means to give back: Dalton Kincaid.
“I read about Kimber, and I couldn’t hold back my emotions,” Kincaid said after Bills practice. “She’s proof that compassion doesn’t depend on age, fame, or circumstance. A young girl did what many grown adults couldn’t — she turned tragedy into a gift for others.”
According to a Bills Foundation representative, Kincaid’s donation was never meant for publicity and only came to light when the Mills family shared a thank-you letter. In his note, Kincaid wrote that he wanted Kimber to be remembered as “a symbol of courage — someone who reminded us that light still exists even in the darkest moments.”
This isn’t the first time Kincaid has shown generosity off the field. The 24-year-old star — currently leading the Bills in receiving yards this season — has long supported causes for children battling illness in New York and has participated in fundraising for victims of gun violence. But this time, he admitted, “it felt personal.”
“I think of Kimber like she was my own sister,” Kincaid said softly. “And I thought — if there’s even a small thing I can do to help her family feel less alone, then that’s what I should do.”
When asked why he kept it private, Kincaid simply smiled.
“Because Kimber didn’t do what she did for recognition. She did it because it was the right thing. And I just wanted to do the right thing for her.”
In a season dominated by stats, rivalries, and headlines, Dalton Kincaid’s act of quiet compassion has reminded everyone that the heart of football isn’t only found under the stadium lights — but in moments of humanity, kindness, and the unspoken goodness that still binds us together.
