KANSAS CITY, Mo. — October 1, 2025

A major legal battle has reached its conclusion for a former Kansas City Chiefs standout. Eric Berry, the beloved safety whose NFL career was cut short by a torn ACL, has emerged victorious in a bitter two-year divorce dispute against his ex-wife, Ashley McCall-Berry.

Berry married McCall-Berry, a fitness instructor and entrepreneur, in March 2013 after a five-year relationship that began in 2008. Their union dissolved in February 2023, igniting a drawn-out court fight over assets, alimony, and the split of Berry’s NFL earnings and investments.

According to OverTheCap and Spotrac, Berry earned $62.3 million in NFL salary, bonuses, and incentives during his tenure (2009–2018), including a $60 million four-year extension in 2017 with $40 million guaranteed. His peak single-season earnings of $12.5 million came in 2017 following a Pro Bowl nod in 2016. After a career-altering ACL tear in 2016, Berry played through 2018. Since retiring, he earns roughly $400,000 annually via broadcasting, motivational speaking, and his Eric Berry Foundation, supporting pediatric cancer research.

McCall-Berry sought over 65% of marital assets, contending Berry’s post-retirement income as a broadcaster and speaker should factor into alimony. She also demanded lifetime support and a share in his charitable work. Berry’s legal team, however, exposed that McCall-Berry diverted nearly $1.2 million in shared funds toward luxury vacations, high-end retail, and unapproved business ventures.

Jackson County Judge Sarah Parker ruled in Berry’s favor, granting him 55% of marital assets (valued at around $15 million) and rejecting McCall-Berry’s claim on the Eric Berry Foundation. She was ordered to reimburse $600,000 for misuse, while Berry committed to transitional support for 18 months.

Post-ruling, Berry reflected, “I always trusted her as my wife with our future. But when that trust broke, I only sought fairness. She deserves her part for what we built, but not everything.” Chiefs Kingdom celebrated online, with fans on X dubbing it “another Berry comeback,” saluting his grit from injury to courtroom triumph.

49ers Defensive Back  "Fires Back" at Kyren Williams on IG Live After Thrilling 26-23 Victory Over Rams San Francisco, October , 2025 – 49ers fans, get ready to celebrate! The heart-pounding 26-23 win over the Los Angeles Rams in “Thursday Night Football” at SoFi Stadium (October 3, 2025) wasn’t just a turning point but also the stage for a top-tier “trash talk” performance from defensive back Deommodore Lenoir aimed at Rams running back Kyren Williams. The feud ignited in the second quarter when Williams scored two receiving touchdowns (one a 19-yard play) from Matthew Stafford, complete with a taunting finger-point and “high-step” mocking Lenoir after the score. But the drama flipped late in the game: Williams fumbled the ball right at the 1-yard line with just 1:07 remaining, allowing rookie Alfred Collins (49ers) to recover, shattering the Rams’ chance to take the lead. In overtime, after Eddy Piñeiro’s field goal put the 49ers up 26-23, Williams was stopped cold on a critical fourth-and-1, sealing San Francisco’s victory. On Saturday (October 4), Lenoir took to Instagram Live, roasting Williams with a sharp tone:   “His mouth is as big as SoFi Stadium itself! Pointing at me after a touchdown? Really? Who does he think he is? Let me tell you, he needs to learn how to hold onto the ball before opening his mouth to brag. Fumbling at the 1-yard line, then getting locked down on fourth-and-1? Don’t come at me when your whole team got crushed by us!” The video went viral on X, racking up over 16,000 views, sparking a frenzy among fans of both teams. Williams recorded 64 rushing yards (4.6 yards per carry, 14 carries), 66 receiving yards, and 2 TDs, but his critical fumble (one of 7 lost fumbles since 2023, highest among NFL RBs) drew heavy criticism. Williams took accountability: “I let the team down.” Head coach Sean McVay called the fourth-and-1 decision “terrible” but defended his player’s spirit. The win pushed the 49ers to around 3-2, regaining momentum after being swept by the Rams in 2024. Lenoir proved he’s not just a defensive wall but a “trash talk” warrior! 49ers fans, keep cheering—the NFC West is ours for the taking!
