New Orleans superstars Alvin Kamara and Cameron Jordan clashed on the practice field, Saints' internal turmoil after defeat to Seahawks
New Orleans, September 23, 2025
After a crushing 13-44 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks, the New Orleans Saints not only lost points on the scoreboard but also face the risk of internal discord. During the morning practice session following the game, the atmosphere turned tense when Alvin Kamara – the team’s offensive star – openly criticized the defense for allowing the opponent to score too easily.
According to sources from the locker room, Kamara believes that the Seahawks’ quick lead with a significant margin put the offense in a difficult position:
“We had to bear enormous pressure because the defense let the score slip too far. When you’re trailing heavily from the first quarter, the offense has no choice but to take risks. That makes us more prone to mistakes.”
His statement immediately drew a sharp response from the defensive unit. Veteran defensive end Cameron Jordan, one of the team’s most respected voices, fired back:
“Pointing fingers won’t change anything. If the offense could sustain drives and put points on the board, the defense wouldn’t be on the field so much. We all share responsibility for this loss.”
The exchange forced the practice session to be paused for a few minutes as coaches stepped in to cool tempers.
Head coach Kellen Moore later tried to defuse the situation, suggesting that the heated reaction was a natural consequence of the heavy loss:
“We’re all dissatisfied with ourselves. But instead of pointing fingers, the important thing is to turn that frustration into motivation to fix our mistakes.”
Despite Moore’s attempt to calm things down, the incident further exposed the pressure the Saints are under. With their record already at an alarming level, unity is something the squad needs to hold onto more than ever. If not, a season that is already challenging could spiral into a full-blown crisis.
