Hall of Fame legend Steve Largent heaps praise on Seahawks QB Sam Darnold after the dominant performance against the Washington Commanders: “This could be the start of a new legend in Seattle!”

Seattle, Washington – November 3, 2025

Lumen Field erupted in celebration Sunday night, but amid the noise and fireworks, it was one voice — that of a legend — that captured the heart of Seattle. Hall of Famer Steve Largent, one of the most iconic figures in Seahawks history, couldn’t hide his admiration after watching quarterback Sam Darnold deliver what many called the best performance of his career — and possibly the start of a new era in Seattle.

“This might be the beginning of a new legend,” Largent said after the game. “Seventeen straight completions, no mistakes, no hesitation — that’s what greatness looks like. Sam Darnold isn’t just playing well; he’s proving that he is the future of this franchise.”

For the first time in his career, Darnold completed 17 consecutive passes (a perfect first half), throwing for 330 total yards and four touchdowns, setting a personal best in nearly every category. His precision and composure led the Seahawks to a dominant 38–14 victory over the Washington Commanders — and firmly placed him back in the 2025 NFL MVP race.

Under head coach Mike Macdonald, Seattle’s offense has found its rhythm and identity. Darnold’s connection with Jaxon Smith-Njigba and DK Metcalf looked effortless — JSN finished with 119 receiving yards, while Metcalf added a touchdown to cap off a near-perfect performance.

For Steve Largent, who defined excellence and leadership during his Hall of Fame career, Darnold represents the next chapter in Seahawks history.

“What I see in Sam is maturity and confidence,” Largent explained. “He reads the field like a veteran, stays calm under pressure, and makes everyone around him better. That’s what true leadership looks like — and Seattle has found their guy.”

After years of uncertainty and criticism from his time with the Jets and Panthers, Sam Darnold has rediscovered his rhythm — and with it, the belief of an entire city. As Largent put it best:

“Seattle has seen legends wear this jersey before, but this time… it feels like a new one is just beginning to rise.”

Packers Star Kenny Clark Rescues 27 Dogs From Euthanasia in Celebration of National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week
Green Bay, Wisconsin – November 4, 2025 In a heartwarming story that has touched the entire Packers community, defensive tackle Kenny Clark proved that true strength isn’t just measured in tackles and sacks. In celebration of National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, the Green Bay star quietly funded the rescue of 27 dogs facing euthanasia in overcrowded shelters across Wisconsin — an act of kindness now spreading across social media. The effort began when the Wisconsin Humane Society shared an urgent appeal about several rural shelters struggling to care for abandoned animals. Many of the dogs, due to lack of space and resources, were only days away from being euthanized. When Clark saw the report, he immediately reached out and offered to cover the full cost of transport, vaccinations, food, and adoption fees — ensuring every one of those dogs would get a second chance at life. When the rescue truck arrived in Green Bay over the weekend, Clark wasn’t just a donor — he was there in person. The 314-pound lineman helped unload crates, played with the dogs, and even adopted one himself, a three-year-old rescue he named “Lambeau.”  “I’ve spent my career fighting for inches,” Clark said. “This time, it’s about fighting for lives — even the ones that can’t speak for themselves. These dogs just needed a chance, and if I can help give it to them, that’s a win that means more than anything on Sunday.” Clark’s compassion isn’t new to Packers fans. Off the field, he’s long been known for his involvement in community outreach programs, from youth mentorship in Milwaukee to his annual “Clark’s Kids” Christmas drive. But this latest gesture has struck a special chord, reminding fans that football’s biggest hearts often belong to its quietest heroes. The Wisconsin Humane Society confirmed that all 27 dogs have now been placed in foster care, and several have already been adopted by local families. They credited Clark’s generosity not just for saving lives — but for raising awareness about animal welfare across the state. For Packers Nation, Kenny Clark’s story embodies what it means to wear the Green and Gold: strength, compassion, and family — both on and off the field.
