The Owner and CEO Terry Pegula of Buffalo Bills Have Announced a Groundbreaking Program to Support Former Players After Their NFL Careers End
The Buffalo Bills have become one of the first NFL organizations to officially launch a career transition and wellness program for players whose professional football journeys have come to an end.

This initiative, personally endorsed by Owner and CEO Terry Pegula, aims to help former Bills players navigate life beyond the gridiron — focusing on mental health, financial stability, and personal growth. The three-year plan will provide monthly financial assistance, career counseling, and opportunities within the Bills organization or its community partners.
Pegula emphasized that the team’s commitment to its players doesn’t end when their contracts do.
“A football career may end, but the bond we share with those who’ve worn the red, white, and blue will never fade. Once a Bill, always a Bill,” he said.
The program represents a powerful statement from Buffalo — a city built on loyalty, resilience, and heart. By extending support beyond the field, the Bills are not only taking care of their own but setting a new standard for compassion and responsibility in the NFL community.
