Two New Orleans superstars set to return, Kellen Moore determined to get Saints out of the rut
New Orleans, October 1, 2025
The New Orleans Saints have finally received a glimmer of hope amid a disappointing start to the season. After a string of lackluster performances that left fans frustrated, head coach Kellen Moore confirmed that two key stars, Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau, have been cleared to open their practice windows and could soon return to the field.
“We’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time,” Moore shared during a press conference:
“Taysom and Foster aren’t just critical pieces in our offensive system; they’re also spiritual leaders in the locker room. I know fans are disappointed with our recent results, but this team has never stopped believing. With their return, we’ll gain more depth, more versatility, and, most importantly, more confidence to turn things around. This is our chance to flip the script and prove that the Saints never give up.”
Both Hill and Moreau suffered significant injuries last season and started this year on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list, forcing them to miss at least the first four games. The opening of their 21-day practice windows means the Saints have a chance to reintegrate them into the lineup before Week 8, when they face the Buccaneers.
Hill’s return is particularly expected to bolster the team’s short-yardage offense and special situations. He’s seen as a “Swiss Army knife” with his ability to run, pass, and even catch the ball. Meanwhile, Moreau adds another reliable option at tight end, easing the burden on Juwan Johnson, who has shouldered most of the receiving duties at the position so far this season.
The string of losses has sapped the Saints’ confidence, and Moore himself has faced heavy scrutiny from the public. Now, the return of these two pillars not only enhances the team’s tactics but also brings a renewed sense of motivation to the entire squad.
“We’re not giving up,” Moore asserted. “The losses are behind us, and there are still plenty of opportunities ahead. With Taysom and Foster, we’ll fight to the end.”
Saints fans have reason to hope: the crisis may soon come to an end, and a brighter future is starting to take shape in New Orleans.
